In 1984, Eileen Fisher started a clothing company inspired by a vision of simple shapes and a desire to create clothes for both herself and other women that would be comfortable and enduring. Although she had only $350 in the bank and did not know how to sew, Eileen animated her vision with good business instincts, intelligent design of essential interchangeable “basics,” and a tremendous amount of perseverance and heart.

Over the past 40+ years, Eileen Fisher (the brand) has flourished with designs that have stood the test of time and Eileen Fisher (the woman) at age 73 has become a true conscious business elder. She is someone who leads with inner sight and clear values, and has stewarded her business successfully through tremendous industry challenges.
