MASTERCLASS
The Long Game
Well-Being for Peak Performance in High-Stress Environments
Lessons on what it takes to keep going without burning yourself out
Most of us think about well-being backwards. We tell ourselves we’ll get to it after this project, after this quarter, after things settle down. The trouble is, things rarely settle down, and you may have built your life this way without ever deciding to. But the research points in a different direction. The people who stay effective in high-stress environments tend to play the long game. They see well-being as one of the things that makes demanding, meaningful work possible year after year.

Everyone who registers gets the replay.
You already know how to work hard. That’s probably how you got here.
You’ve built a career by showing up. People count on you. You solve problems, keep your promises, and find a way to deliver, season after season. From the outside, everything looks fine. But over time the cost adds up, in your energy, your patience, and how much of you is left at the end of the day.
Artemis Evangelidi knows that experience firsthand. She has spent more than twenty-five years working as a corporate lawyer, General Counsel, consultant and strategist, advising executives, boards, and governments across Australia, Europe, and the Middle East.
But before all of this, early in her career, she realized that she had to make a choice. Burning out in private practice was a wake-up call; she realized she couldn’t win the long game by running herself into the ground.
That experience changed the direction of her life. She turned to the science of stress, psychology, conscious leadership, and contemplative practice, trying to answer one question: how do you keep doing work that matters without losing yourself?
Today, she teaches lawyers, doctors, executives, and other professionals whose work asks a lot of them. Her work is grounded in research, but it’s meant for real life. She helps people understand what chronic stress does to them, then teaches practices that hold up when life gets demanding. Artemis has been through the Inner MBA twice, and many of the ideas she’ll share were shaped by that experience.
Sibyl Chavis hosts the conversation. Together, they explore what it takes to play the long game – to keep doing meaningful work without burning yourself out.
