How the Inner MBA Helped Artemis Evangelidi Expand Her Work With Lawyers and Leaders

Artemis is a lawyer, consultant, mindfulness teacher, and founder of Aipeia Consulting who lives in Melbourne, Australia.

She had already been working in conscious leadership for almost a decade when she discovered the Inner MBA.

As a lawyer, consultant, mindfulness teacher, and founder of Aipeia Consulting, she had also studied organisational psychology and had spent years exploring the intersection of mindfulness, leadership, psychology, and human performance.

A traditional MBA had never particularly interested her.

What caught her attention about the Inner MBA was something very different.

“As someone who had been working in the conscious leadership space for almost a decade, it was amazing to find a course that was focused solely on that,” Artemis says. “Traditional MBAs never interested me, as I already had studies in organisational psychology—I was more keen to hear from the trailblazers doing things differently.”

And there were a lot of people she wanted to hear from.

The opportunity to learn from such a wide range of teachers, researchers, faculty, and wisdom holders was a major part of the appeal, particularly because many were people whose paths she wouldn’t ordinarily have the chance to cross.

Would It Translate Outside the U.S.?

Artemis did have some hesitation before joining.

Living in Melbourne, she wondered whether the program might be too focused on the United States, with its different opportunities and possibilities. She also wondered whether some of the teaching might be geared primarily toward people running product-based businesses.

Her experience turned out to be very different.

“Everything that was shared and taught was immediately transferable across regions and industries.”

The logistics worked better than she expected, too. Most of the sessions suited her time zone, and when they didn’t, she watched the recordings at her own pace.

That flexibility became important because the sheer amount of material available inside the Inner MBA could sometimes feel overwhelming.

For Artemis, though, that became an advantage.

“As someone who had been working in the conscious leadership space for almost a decade, it was amazing to find a course that was focused solely on that,” Artemis says. “Traditional MBAs never interested me, as I already had studies in organisational psychology—I was more keen to hear from the trailblazers doing things differently.”

The platform made it easy for her to navigate the material, check in with community groups when she could, and see how other participants were making their own way through the program.

The live sessions also gave her regular points of connection.

“The sprinkling of live sessions every other week made it a good check-in point, to engage with the faculty and make sure I was at least utilising those amazing opportunities to learn from others and from their unique journeys.”

“It Gave Me a Lot of Confidence”

Artemis had joined partly because she wanted to see how other people were taking conscious leadership out into the real world.

She found that in both the faculty and the international Inner MBA community.

Hearing how other people were applying the work gave her more motivation to keep finding new ways to share it herself and increase her own impact.

And something else happened along the way.

“It gave me a lot of confidence—in that everything I had been studying, writing about and teaching was so on point!”

She was able to learn from people working on the frontlines, then take those stories and ideas back into her own work. She experimented with different methods and teachings, integrated research, shared that research with others, and found new ways to help people see familiar subjects differently.

This mattered enormously in the world where Artemis does much of her work: training executives and lawyers.

Having data and research was important. So were the real-life experiences of successful CEOs and other leaders who were actively applying these ideas.

“To have the data, research and real life stories from successful CEOs and other leaders to share with them made a huge difference in their receptivity and ultimately, my impact.”

An Unexpected Door Opens in the Legal Profession

One of the most significant results of Artemis’s Inner MBA experience was something she hadn’t anticipated when she enrolled.

The program changed the way she was able to speak about neuroscience. Combined with her graduate studies in psychology, that helped her promote mindfulness as a relevant intervention for the legal profession.

That work ultimately led to the first mindfulness-based teachings ever offered by the law society in her hometown.

And it continued to grow.

To date, Artemis has taught mindfulness to more than 3,000 legal professionals.

For her, the importance of that work goes well beyond introducing lawyers to mindfulness as an idea. She sees these tools as relevant both to their wellbeing and to their ability to show up for work that, for some lawyers, can be extremely challenging.

“These trainings have real time impact and that is just incredible. I feel so honoured to be able to do this work.”

The Impact Went Beyond Her Work

Artemis also saw the Inner MBA ripple into other areas of her life.

In her relationships, she found better ways to communicate and navigate difficult conversations when other people might avoid them. She found that this could create space for others to challenge their own assumptions as well, and the stories she heard from faculty and community members gave her examples of people applying these ideas in real time.

Spiritually, the program felt like a natural fit.

Artemis had always considered herself a spiritual person, both through her culture and through an affinity for Eastern traditions that began at a young age. What resonated with her about the Inner MBA was the way it brought different worlds together.

“This beautiful weaving of spirituality, science and wisdom was absolutely the right fit for me, and showed me ways to share the information without imposing anything on others, but just holding space for the exploration of different experiences.”

Professionally and financially, she says the program gave her more confidence to experiment, put herself out there, and speak with greater conviction about the value of the work.

“It increased my reach and my workflow for sure!”

And when Artemis thinks about health, she sees all of these areas as connected.

“I think that a healthy, mindful and curious mind can open the door to more flow and ease in all areas of life. A healthy mind equals a healthy body. This work is my passion and my purpose and I couldn’t imagine living or working any other way!”

“It Is a True Game Changer”

Artemis ultimately went through the Inner MBA twice.

And when asked what she would tell someone considering joining, her response is unequivocal:

“I could not recommend this program enough—it is a true game changer. The faculty, the knowledge shared so openly, the accessibility, the feeling of being in a true community, the opportunities are next to none. And all of it in a safe, loving and open environment, with acceptance, curiosity and kindness.”

She says she had “nothing but incredible experiences and massive aha moments throughout the course—both times I did it.”

And for Artemis, the investment gave her much more than another body of information to study.

“It is worth the investment in time and money and you will walk away much richer for it.”
