Your Hosts
At age 22, Tami Simon started Sounds True, now a multimedia publisher, with a dream and a tape recorder. Though she had no business experience and only a vague idea of what she wanted the company to be, Tami had her guiding principle strongly in place: to disseminate spiritual wisdom. Over its 37-year history, Sounds True has produced over 3,000 titles, been nominated twice for the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing companies, and is North America’s leading publisher of spoken-word spiritual teachings.
Soren Gordhamer is the founder and host of Wisdom 2.0, the premier conference exploring living mindfully and wisely in the digital age. Past Wisdom 2.0 event speakers have included the founders and CEOs of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and eBay, along with wisdom teachers Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, and more. Soren is also the author of Wisdom 2.0, and he’s the founder of the award-winning nonprofit Lineage Project, which has served at-risk and incarcerated teens in New York City for over 20 years.

September 17, 2022 – May 20, 2023
2022-2023 CURRICULUM
This powerful foundational module will lay the groundwork for all subsequent modules, as you become more mindful in your life and as a leader. You’ll get access to the most cutting-edge practices in topics such as Immunity to Change, setting impactful goals, and building a leadership culture. You’ll also learn how your perception informs your reality, and how you can shift that perception to create more impact in both your personal and organizational achievements.
We spend a lot of time in business learning how to manage other people. But what about managing ourselves? Self-management skills can be learned by anyone who puts in the time. They help you stay composed, centered, and on purpose, while reducing conflict and misdirected energy. We’ll explore this topic from a mindfulness perspective, as well as the latest findings in neuroscience and how the brain reacts to stress.
For many cutting-edge companies, EQ is becoming more important than IQ. This challenges the decades-old belief system that tells us to leave our emotions at home. Instead, we’re invited to explore emotions effectively in a work context. The many benefits of emotional intelligence at work include faster conflict resolution and more inclusive and empathetic discussions where everybody feels heard. This naturally leads to more cooperative, creative, and productive teams. Here, we will start to employ strategies and tools to amplify our capacity for emotional intelligence.
In order to stay authentically connected with people at work, we need to develop the skill of engaging in difficult conversations. While uncomfortable, having difficult conversations in a skillful way to release pent-up energy in teams and create clarity, ease, flow, and genuine connection at work. Learning how to prepare for and deliver difficult information with skill and grace is one of the hallmarks of a conscious leader.
This event marks the midpoint of the Inner MBA program, convening Inner MBA faculty and participants, and guest stars to explore together the mindset and practice of compassionate leadership. Part workshop, part networking, part celebration, this immersive virtual event works to leave everyone feeling refreshed, connected to each other, and even more committed to their journey as a mindful leader working from the space of compassion.
The power of Module 5 is that here we create intentional environments where there is an energized flow in the work, environments in which people feel valued and seen, and distinct leadership styles that support the outcomes we seek for our teams. Here, we discover our own collaborative style in pursuit of building cultures of collaboration and kindness. This module truly holds the keys to the impact of the Inner MBA program.
Empowering conversation and action to activate inclusion and invite diversity, building teams that reflect the values of our organizations, and acknowledging differences in perspective, history, culture, and socioeconomics requires awareness of the complexities of bias, racism, resistance to change, and the importance of self-awareness and care as we engage with others across what sometimes seems a great divide. The lessons here invite discourse and pursue a human approach to healing what separates us.
How do we manifest the changes we are experiencing, the knowledge we are gaining as leaders, in order that the members of our organizations can benefit from our learning, thereby becoming transformative leaders themselves? Here, we explore the value of and impact on the workplace of authenticity, realness, groundedness, being, and above all, courage in revealing ourselves to those with whom we engage.
In our lifetimes, we have not had such a time of disruption as we are now experiencing. Leaders must engage as humans with their colleagues, and with the communities their organizations serve, with curiosity, courage, and flexibility. Leaders must garner awareness of their own capacity for resilience and response to change, and build the strategies that will carry their organizations through these most challenging times.
The core faculty members of the Inner MBA program gather in this final module of the program to provide scaffolding, support, and confidence to take the deep learning of this program into the world and make change. There is great power in recounting all that has been gained, as well as excitement in discovering the strategies for making it all happen. There is celebration and acknowledgment of how far we have come together.
In Trimester 3, we open our examination to include the world. How will we be a part of the answers to issues such as climate change, innovation, and healthcare. Join Bill Ford, CEO of Ford Motor Company, interviewed by our own Jack Kornfield, as they pursue the power of business to be of impact and transform the larger challenges of our time.
In my 15 years of leadership, I thought that my EQ (emotional intelligence) did me well, and it did. But what the Inner MBA helped me see is an awareness level beyond just the EQ with others, but also with myself. I am beyond impressed with the quality of the faculty. This is the best leadership program I have ever studied.

Yes! As the Inner MBA program is 100% virtual, we welcome English-speaking students from around the world. To view a map of the 66 countries our past and present students call home, go here.
Part of the Inner MBA curriculum includes live sessions with our elite faculty of business leaders, spiritual teachers, and Ivy League professors. You can attend these sessions live, or you can access the recordings we will make available in your Inner MBA members area.
You’ll also meet with a small group of peers once per month, held at a time your group mutually agrees upon. As community is an integral part of the program, you will be required to attend this session live in order to earn your Certificate of Completion when the program ends.
Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to connect, network, and collaborate in the Inner MBA virtual Networking Cafe throughout the program at times that work best for your schedule.
The Inner MBA is a 9-month program, and enrollment opens just once each year. The next program starts on September 19, 2022 and ends on May 21, 2023.
We understand that life can get busy, plus we have students in different time zones across the United States and the world. This is why we’ve designed the Inner MBA program to include both self-paced and live components.
The program consists of nine modules—you and your fellow students will focus on one module per month for the nine-month duration of the program.
Each module contains video teachings, exercises and practices, and reading course materials that you can go through at your own pace. Plus you’ll have the opportunity to connect, network, and collaborate in the Inner MBA virtual Networking Cafe throughout the program at times that work best for your schedule.
There will also be several live sessions each month with the Inner MBA faculty that we recommend attending live if you can, so that you can participate in the live Q&A portion of the sessions. (If you can’t make the live sessions, you can always access the recordings later on inside your Inner MBA members area.)
As community is an integral part of the program, you will be required to attend a once-per-month small group meeting with your peers in order to earn your Certificate of Completion when the program ends. This meeting will always be held at a time your group mutually agrees upon, however, so it should be easy for you to attend.
We estimate you’ll spend one or two hours per week watching video teachings, participating in live Q&As, engaging in exercises and practices, and reading course materials.
And if you want to go deeper, there will be optional reading material and exercises offered for those seeking further resources and deeper learning.
You’ll also meet with a small group of peers once per month, held at a time your group mutually agrees upon. Plus you’ll have the opportunity to connect, network and collaborate in the Inner MBA virtual Networking Cafe throughout the program at times that work best for your schedule.
You will not be required to submit assignments for “grading,” as you would in a traditional educational setting.
You’ll be required, however, to complete the following by the program end date (May 21, 2023) in order to receive your Certificate of Completion:
